This past week has been a really good week to fly up here in Battle Creek, Michigan, at KBTL. After two months of attempting to fly and being disappointed by cancelling flights and low ceilings, I was able to fly again and it went great! We flew down to South Bend, Indiana, (KSBN) and then diverted after executing a touch and go at KSBN. The flight was an overwhelming success and now I can continue to make progress in this course as long the weather holds off for a few days.

After the flight to KSBN, we continued to work towards my check ride. This included planning for my lesson 9 (mock check ride) and also working on my ground knowledge to successfully pass the check.

This past Christmas, my parents bought me a brand new David Clark aviation headset, however I have not been able to use it due to the lack of flights. This past week I was also able to finally try out the new headset and it worked like a charm! I could not be happier with how this past week has gone, and I look forward to using my new headset to continue to make progress in the transition course at WMU!
