This past week we were able to fly one day to get some last minute practice in. We were able to work on steep turns, pattern work, short field landings, and ground material. We are officially done with working on ground material and we are ready to move on to my lesson 10. Next week, the first full week of March, will be our spring break week. Because of that, we were unable to schedule my check until the following week. This check will consist of an oral exam, covering a lot of the ground information. Then we will undergo a cross country followed by a diversion into a nearby airport. We will work on short field landings, and pattern work. After that, we will head to a practice area and work on power on stalls, power off stalls, steep turns, and doing all of them safely and efficiently. After performing all of the necessary maneuvers, we will head back to KBTL.

Next week I have the opportunity to go on spring break with one of my buddies, and we will be heading down to Arizona! I am really excited for this break, and I will definitely enjoy the sunshine that we will be soaking in. I am hoping to get a lot of studying done while flying down there, sitting on the beach, and the flight back, and doing everything I can do before my check, even when still on vacation. I look forward to this vacation and then we are back to the busy season of flying!
