Blog #22 - Spring Break!

This past week I have been able to be on spring break, and get a well deserved week off from school and flying at Western Michigan University. Me and my friend were able to travel from Grand Rapids, MI KGRR to Las Vegas, Nevada KLAS, and then travel down the west coast of Arizona to Yuma, AZ. We stayed in Lake Havasu, AZ on our way down for a few days visiting some of my fiends family, and enjoyed the large lake that is there. We then spent a full day in Mexico, and traveling a few cities just pass the United States border. Following that, we were able to go see and airshow in Yuma, AZ KYMT, that was very cool to see. I have seen the Blue Angles in the past a few times in Florida, but every time they are so impressive and very cool to see. I have spent some time throughout the first part of the week studying for my upcoming check ride, and catching up on some of the expected information on the oral exam. We are leaving out of Las Vegas in just a few short days, and I am not too excited to head back to the cold weather, but it will be nice to get back up and fly. We still have a few days left of our vacation, and I am really excited to see what fun adventures we are going to go on the rest of the week. Hopefully we can head back and I can get my check completed in the first few weeks that I'm back but it all depends on the weather!
