One thing that I have learned from my ~20 years of living in Michigan is that you can never be sure that winter is over. It seems as though every single year I tell myself that winter is over and we can start enjoying warm weather, but then Mother Nature hits us again with another winter storm. This past week we got a storm that started with a cold front and very high wind speeds, and then it transitioned into a winter storm. It started on Friday afternoon and lasted through Saturday, and unfortunately halted my flying progression for the week.
This coming week is much different than the last... warmer temperatures and much better ceilings. I plan on flying a few times this week and that should allow me to schedule my stage check, so I can focus on studying for it. With the radar looking clear, we should be all set to go. We plan on doing another remedial flight to go over everything that will be on the stage check. Although it seems monotonous, the more practice the better, and the more prepared you will be for a check.
Hopefully next week will be a better update with more progress happening! See you then!
