After the relaxing and unwinding little break that I had last week, I ma now back at Western Michigan University and my flying is continuing. This past week, I flew the Cirrus SR20 that makes up Westerns fleet to Lansing, Grand Rapids, and the Hastings airport. The transition course at Western is a very tough course and I am feeling the pressure to keep up with other students while making sure I obtain all of the information. Although it can be stressful sometimes, I am still so happy that I get to fly these aircraft to bigger airports, and have the confidence to be able to do it thorough. This upcoming week me and my flight instructor have scheduled a trip to the Kalamazoo Airport (KAZO) to tour the TRACON and ATC tower! I am so excited for this chance to see a tower and center control because I have never seen air control from their perspective, and after talking with them for countless flights it will be cool to see how they do it and keep so many people safe at once. I also have a check ride coming up soon, to pass the transition course at Western Michigan. Lots to study, and I need more experience before I can go through with the check ride, and feel confident enough to pass it on the first time. There are so many exciting/nerve-wracking events coming up soon, but I could not be more excited to continue my training and then move on my instrument training next. My next blog post I am going to write about my trip to the TRACON and ATC tower this upcoming week! See you next week!
